Cornell University’s Life Sciences Technology Innovation Fellows (LSTIF) program culminated April 18 at a showcase in New York City, where interdisciplinary teams pitched their startup concepts to peers and supporters.

The Southern Tier Startup Alliance (STSA) is a member organization of business incubators in the Southern Tier region of New York. Through the support of NYSTAR, STSA works to unite the contributions of business incubators and entrepreneurial resources throughout the region, helping to enhance the scope of existing services and to provide additional support to Southern Tier entrepreneurs and startups. STSA also serves as Launch New York’s representative in the Southern Tier, helping connect startups with funding and mentorship.
Since 2016:
- 462 new financial deals supported through STSA
- Over $1B total financial deals closed by STSA startups
- 188 total groups investing in the Southern Tier

Students pitch startups at Autodesk Gallery
Students from the eLab Student Startup Accelerator, the Runway Startups Postdocs Program at Cornell Tech, and BioVenture eLab at Weill Cornell Medicine, made their annual trek to San Francisco for the Cornell Silicon Valley: Student Startup Showcase to pitch their innovative startups at Autodesk Gallery on March 26.
A Year of Momentum for Rev’s Members and Makers
Forty-two startups were supported by Rev: Ithaca Startup Works in 2025, marking another successful year for their founders, employees, and investors. Some forged new partnerships, many secured seed funding, and others earned notable awards.
Funding renewed for NSF Energy Storage Engine in Upstate New York
The NSF Energy Storage Engine in Upstate New York, an initiative led by Binghamton University with Cornell serving as a core partner for technology translation, has secured $45 million in renewed funding for the next three years.
